Beating the heat..............

It has been way too hot to detect this month, so I thought that I could get out early Sunday morning ahead of the heat and humidity. I went to the street projects that I have in the past. There was no new construction other than the dirt was spread out in the tree lawn area after the curb and sidewalks had been poured. I hunted one block for 3.5 hours and did great. My finds include:
3 Indians: 1876, 1887, 1891, 6 wheats: 1946(4), 1940D, 1944D, 1 1953 Canadian, 1 1953S rosie, Clad: 1 1965 quarter, 1 dime, 1 nickel, 19 memorials, 1 USMC hat badge, 3 marbles eyeballed, clock key, toe/heel plate, 3 buttons-1 with WABASH(probably Wabash R.R.), and some other misc. items. I called it quits when I had sweat running off me like a water fall. lol. Hope you all had a chance to get out. Stay cool.
