Been away for some time.

I don't know if 've posted in 2010 until today. Cold but very little snow. I had a small window to hunt last week-end but I was pursuing something softer and sweeter. Worked out about like it always seems to so suppose I should have gone detecting. I read back a few weeks and commented on a few more recent posts. Nice to see some of you getting out and finding some great stuff.

I'm looking forward to March.

Chris

Good to hear from you cwilk!! Come on summer!!

Where in the hell have you been? I thought something was missing on this forum and figured you might have quietly passed away. and forgot to let us know.. HAAAA. Good to have you back. Is your weather too lousy for tecting?

Been too cold except for last Saturday. The ground was still pretty frozen but I could have chipped out a few shallow coins had I not been otherwise engaged. I might try for an hour or so this Saturday if it gets into the 40s. It was hard for me to come visit and post here for a lot of reasons. I'll be back to normal come spring. I hope.

It's good to see you back Chris.
Personally, I prefer to hunt in open parks as small windows tend to crowd me in. I guess you could say, that it's a real 'pane'. On the other hand; a practice that used to be carried out here, was that the builder would place a penny that is dated the same year as he built the house, under the window sill. So If I can find an old abandoned house dated 1930, then I might be able to land myself a 30 to $90,000 coin!:bouncy:

Glad to see that you're doin' alright Chris:thumbup:

Come on Chris

You gotta keep us posted. I have not been on here awhile either (of course I have not been detecting much either). Been so busy doing everything else.
You plus a handful of others are what makes me keep checking in!

Don

Something softer and sweeter, did you trade in your metal detector for a hottie detector or were you just trying to find some good, out of season, canteloupe?
Sorry things didn't go better for you.
I gave it a shot last Saturday and realized that I'm not fond of chiseling targets out of the ground. I've got a few new spots lined up but I'm waiting for the ground to thaw.
