Hello Everyone,
I have been lurking for awhile now. About the middle of last summer I was in the mood to buy a metal detector. I lurked around a couple different forums to try to find out what the best metal detector would be without spending a bunch of money, then finding out that I didn't like metal detecting.
Thanks to you fine folks, I finally settled on the Ace 250. In June, I received the detector & couldn't wait to try it out. I finally felt comfortable enough with the detector to stray away from the home front to hit some local parks & tot lots. I've also hit a few local beaches.
All told, in a little over 4 months, I've found almost $80, a couple of nice silver rings and other assorted items. Can't wait until spring & the ground thaws. I made it out today for an hour or so and found another small ring & 44 cents. Ground is still frozen, but it was nice to get back out there & swing a little bit.
Anyway, thanks to all of you who have recommended the Ace 250. It's a great little machine, a lot of fun to run, & will pay for itself shortly. I really enjoy looking at your finds and reading the stories you guys have. Thanks again for helping me decide on the 250.
Dave.

And you picked a dandy machine to start out with. It should find you a ton of goodies. We will be looking forward to pics and stories of your finds. Lotsa luck.
