BEFORE & AFTER SHOT OF SLQ

New member
My buddy asked me to post a picture of a 1927 SLQ I found in his front yard after I cleaned it up a bit.
First I used eletrolysis then dipped it in a silver cleaner solution "DIP" not a polish. and here's the results

I take it that the Standing Liberty Quarter was sitting in water for quite a long time, either that the ground has fertilizer or acidic chemicals in it to do that to silver. It still is a very nice coin and they tend to be difficult to find in that much detail. WTG!!! Keep up the great work.

Found in a yard in S.Buffalo N.Y. The yard is along sides train tracks not in use any more but back in the hay days the tracks toated a lotta coak to the ovens at Bethlehem Steel.
The ground I'm searching has a VERY high Iron-ore content and very difficult to detect. Good signals are iffy at best

darn few of those even have dates.

Dave

I would have used Wright's Silver Polish (liquid) and it would have come out looking a lot better. Dip just takes off light tarnish,
