BEING IGNORED BY MINELAB

Hi Des. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me what to look for in relation to possibly a previous poor attempt to repair the headphone socket on an x-terra 30. I would think i may have to repair some tracks, but was wondering if they would be both sides of the board,or just the solder side? A diagram would be great but i cant find one anywhere. Also,i would like to modify this,by replacing the socket with wires going thru the stem to the end cap at the rear of the stem, which seems a more sturdy solution to ramming a plug into a weak point. Any advice please?

I suprised at the report of "no reply", I had a minor issue with my Xterra 705 Gold and I was not too thrilled, I had a new detector that I couldn't use. I contacted my dealer and Minelab sent me the part right away and followed up with me to be sure that everything was OK.

Seems things are going quite well nowadays. JMHO HH Randy

Seriously old post

clifftopdigger maybe you could start a new thread or also ask this question in the Modification forum, if you intend on making mods. You should contact ML directly if you are just needing repairs and are still in warranty or are willing to pay for fix.
