Benefit of volume or no?

Just curious if turning the volume up on the headphones makes a difference or not with the Deus? With audio response being a big factor in how you hear signals I'm wondering how it coincided with volume. I leave it on 5 cuz it seems loud enough, but do any of you go higher or lower?

I'm old school and have a notion to always run at full volume. The idea was it would make the weak faint signals louder thus easier to hear. I run all mine at full volume at all times. I ran my Deus at 7 all the time.

They used to make a device called the Depth Master by Bluebird that would amplify the sound so you could hear those faint signals better, but had a limiter to keep it from blowing your ears off. Did it help? I think so.

Nowadays I usually keep it at AR=4

I run my volume at 5. Above that the sound starts to break up with a raspier tone. Here's the thing. With the Deus testing is very easy because the changes you make are real time.
Find a target
Go in to audio and move it up or down while sweeping over the target until it sounds good to you.
Do it with a faint target if you can get one.
Don't do it in ground balance "tracking" as it won't work consistently.

Next while your at it
Try your other settings like reactivity and silencer and others. Make that target sing the best you can. This is how you learn your unit.

i had it on 5 on sunday and a small musket ball of 8mm was feintly heard ,took a probe to find it
