Best Headphones to buy for Explorer??

Headphones that have a dual volume. What would some of you recommend?? I have been using the Explorer for a while now but always used the Koss that came with them.

I need the ones with the most volume because of my bad hearing and found the Troy Pros work the best for me as they have the best volume. James-ND likes his Gray Ghost NDT and I have some that really like the tone quality of the new Sun Ray Pro Golds on the Explorers, so as you see different headphones for different people.

I don't know if it's the best, but I use the Sunray Pro Gold. Has dual volume control, stereo/mono switch, limiter switch, and 90 degree offset 1/4" jack. I find them comfortable.

Lots of good units out there and personal preference and hearing abilities all come into play....

I think I'm going to go with the Grey Ghost's NDT's

I guess it is very hard for someone else to advise on Headphones.. It would be like someone choosing a Hearing Aid for you... When Everyone has different hearing capabilities.......

But I sure would like to hear from People with So-Called average Hearing.. so they can Limit my choices..

Black widows or Grey Ghosts NDT's

Is it better to have the Lead Hard wired like the Black Widows or is it better to have a spare..NDT's.....

Do the Widows Fit better or are they the same>.... is the xtra 5 dec of sound blocking helpful.....



Do you really need a limiter switch with the SE... Doesnt it have one built in?
