Best of the weekend - two silvers rings

Once again, went to a location where another of our careless "brethen'' hunted recently. They must've been in a hurry fishing for the latest in clad as I back-filled in numerous 2-3 inch deep plugs. Took my time and recovered a couple of .925 silver rings following the trail. Running in auto sens/coin & jewelry. Both rings were solid 38s on TID and on graphic id the cursor pointed to the "s" in silver, and I know that's a very good sign. The unique 'crosses' ring (.925 tma thailand) was at a depth of just 5-6 inches while the interlocking design ring was about 8 inches in depth. Thanks for viewing.

Hey kschae4, Great finds! Sorry to hear about those who have come before you though. Nice job filling them in. I give you a "honorable mention". LOL. That is pretty good depth on those rings. They must have been there for some time. Makes you wonder what the sink rates are for our areas.
Keep it up.

Thanks Bunky- this area was a couple of miles from the beach. Rings were in front yard of elementary school dating from the mid 1930's. Permission hasn't been a problem for schools. I'm always carrying a sturdy plastic bag which doubles as a mat for placing plugs and soil during recovery process. It is a trash carrier too, so I make sure that any custodians or locals can see me pick trash as I go.

Did you get to hunt Daytona ?

Excellent idea! Schools down here are off limits now. They are completely fenced off ATW around.

Those who left the plug holes open didn't deserve to find the rings. I agree with fog, congrats on the nice rings, and thanks again for filling the holes. Its definitely getting cooler here in Ma. 19-40 degrees so far.
