6" Excelerator
The 10x12 can be a bit stronger than the Pro coil but loses points due to its weight & the way it handles shallow & surface coins.
The 6" Excelerator is deeper than the X-5 but doesn't separate as well.
The 6x8 is a darn good coil separates even better than the the Pro coil has excellent depth.. Have never found a coin with the Pro coil that the 6x8 wouldnt hit
The 4.5 X7 used to be my favorite small coil but has been replaced by the X-5. The X-5 is deeper & separates better.
Still have the 6" Excelerator if I need it for a deep, moderate trash area
Never liked the WOT on the Explorer or Etrac.. Ive got one that makes the A team for my Sovereign though.
If I was to vote for coil of the year, Id vote for the 6X8.. Did I mention that it is a darn good coil?
Picture is of a river beside a park I hunted a couple weeks ago. It was totally dark, trees on opposite bank are lit up from baseball field lights.. Fuji pocket camera iso 2000

I think a big part in the opinion of the coils people are using is the confidence you have in it and your machine when you hunt. Nothing worse than thinking Im bringing a knife to a gun fight. I totally believe in my pro coil,6x8 SEF and my sunray 5 coils. All have there place and time giving a area Im hunting at that time. JOHN
