Best Silver haul in one night for me! :yo:

Midnight run version 2.0 on the field that gave me my dime trifecta 2 years ago.

This field has spoiled me in the past and it keeps on giving! Honestly can't wait to upgrade and see what the BP can bring from this spot.

So last nights tally came up to 3} wheats ( 2 no dates and one 1927) , 1} 43' D war nickel, 3} Mercs 34', 41' & 44' , 3} Rosies 52', 53' & 59'. Talk about rare, best I have done in the past was three silver coins.

Also 13 P, 9 D, 8 Q, 4 N and a neat and rather large bird band that mentions writing the US government, but gives no address beyond that haha and some sort of checkered copper piece. Also didn't picture it but I found a 14 link section of small to medium size silver necklace chain ( talk about rechecking a hole for more :detecting: ).

The silver gods are seeming to bless me on the last stretch to the new year.

Have a great Christmas and a safe New Years guys.

You're on FIRE! You had a great day!

You can check out the bird band online to see what kind of bird it was, where it was banded and when. They'll even send you a certificate.

Thanks for the info Tab, you couldn't really tell from the pic but it is a big sucker. Thought it was a silver ring at first due to size and the dull aluminum color on the light of the pro pointer heh.

I'll have to check that out, probably a Canadian goose, wild Turkey or grey Heron.

Bass there is still time brother, Got a plate for of things to do between now and Jan 1st myself with family coming up from FL. and KY...

But I'll be up on the in laws land where the late 1800/ early 1900 sheriffs badge came from, so you better believe not only the Bowand rifle are coming out for the christmas hunting season

Also there is a sports field about 15 miles away that while isnt old, doesnt get hunted by anyone but me as far as I can tell and gave me a small 1.5 gram 10K girls ring a couple months ago. Yup its on my hit list.

Update on the bird band when it came from and other info.

Date [08-30-1985]
Species [Canadian Goose]
Age [ Hatched in 1984 or earlier]
Sex [Female ]
Location [ Delaware, Ar. USA]

The process made mention that the band was unusually old, and at the end asked if I would upload pics of it to them due to the tags age

Did I ever mention how much our love our hobby :smoke:

Congratulations on another record day for you! :clapping:

I found a bird band this year too, off a Canadian goose, called the 800 number, talked to them a bit, told them when where and how I found it...they generally get calls from Hunters and not so much from us... then they Email you a certificate! Something sort of cool to have..
