BHID user question

I use all metal, goes deeper, although you lose tone id, you still have the id lights. Anything that flashes red (iron) I keep on trucking past it. You can also recheck a target in disc mode to be sure. Sometimes you will not get a signal when checking in disc because target is too deep. Dig these and the rise in threshold targets in all metal. This is what I use at the beach, other areas may be to trash for all metal, then disc will be the mode to use there. Good luck.

Same as hunter above, I usually stay in all-metal for the added depth, like he said you can always re-scan in disc mode. Around docks, piers and most wooden structures I end up in disc so that I'm not scooping a lot of nails, and in extremely high trash areas I have to go to disc. Better to dig the targets you aren't sure about than leave them behind and wonder about them later. I use a chest mount, it's too easy to use all the features of the BHID to not take advantage of them, especially the fact that the indicator lights still "discriminate" for you in all-metal.

Same answer as above:thumbup:

I hunt the Beach Hunter 300 in "all metal" (deep) and sometimes flick the switch to disc to confirm.

And also same as above, The lights are rarely wrong. And the reason being is a good target real close to a piece of junk. So if you get red and green, or red and yellow, dig it. I've found many a gold ring next to junk. Good luck, Gene
