Bicyicle design on a button, pin ?

I found this in a f field where a 1880's farm house once stood. Not sure if it's a button, lapel pin or What? Any ideas? Rang up a 18 on the Equinox

Nice button, simpsonslammer... a similar one below. As far as dating, this style of bicycle with two wheels the same size was called a "Safety bicycle" and became common in the 1890's and into the early 1900's. Nice find.
