Big Military Button

Lakota

New member
Unearthed this ( my first ) military button this afternoon. Pictures are from fresh out of the dirt, I'll post up my cleaned photos later tonight. What I can see is " Providence" on the back ( I'm guessing Rhode Island) and I can make out "Co" next to where the shank is laying down.

I do not know enough about military buttons to guess its age. I do know this, signal was a solid 80-81 on the F75 ( standard) as was easily between 6-7" down in had gravel/ rock packed dirt ( I earned this button hahaha)

Any help with this and any guesses on age are welcomed,

Be safe out there ,
