Everything at the top of the picture was in the same hole! What a rush to see 4 old coins, especially the Barber Half in one hole.
Also the two little almost decomposed pieces of leather were between the coins. Part of the purse or wallet?
The ring looks hand made to me. Quite crude but interesting.

Nice finds! If it was a change purse more than likely you would have found the ribs to the purse. Maybe a wallet or leather bag? What's the coin in the upper right corner? 2-center?
