Big SURPRISE....but I shouldn't be!!!.......

I had to go to the post office, yesterday, to purchase more stamps for sending Thank You cards concerning Cliff's funeral and since I had been using the FOREVER stamps....I had to pay 44 cents for each stamp! Don't know when that happened and cost me $2.00 more for a hundred from the $42.00 I had originally been paying! I shouldn't be surprised though for everything is going up but my SS income which will soon be cut with higher Medicare payments coming out of each monthly payment! But God is with me so I need not fear nor worry, as He will provide my every need! Amen!

Well, Ma visited my dr and since everyone there knew my brother Cliff and told me they were sorry for his death, but being still in the grieving period, I bawled and bawled and the drs and workers were giving me encouragement with Bible Scriptures, which I do know, but when you need to grieve that is all that I can do right now! I will be taking 2 anti-depressants a day instead of one until this sadness isn't so prevalent! I do suffer from depression (many in my family do or did) and it is something that has to be controlled by medications, which I am not afraid to take even though I have Jesus...The Great Physician...Who can heal me completely....but that just doesn't always happen...like He didn't heal Cliff but he was taken Home to God instead! Therefore, God's will is always done, even though we want our prayers answered differently! Amen! God Bless! Betty

answers us - just that somtimes it is NO. And be sure to realize that those things are things we don't need, steve in so az

Ma you hang in there I know i can't just drive over a visit with you , but I think about you alot. Life is full of surprises good and bad ,but like you said we always have our Lord JESUS CHRIST and friends on the forum to pray for us. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks 7centsworth and I am still trying to get the thank you cards sent and yours, too! I really appreciate yours and everyones' prayers for comfort and strength to edure and overcome in this time of sorrow of missing my brother, but time heals all things and my heart will be healed for this trial.....have had many of them and Jesus has always seen me through each one! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Thanks Steve....God knew how much Cliff was suffering and said NO and took him home to be with Him! The end had to come for him to suffer no more, but oh the heartache for those who've been left behind and have an empty place in their heart for each loved one who've gone on before us!  God Bless! Betty

No need to thank me, Thank our LORD for christian friends.

pretty soon it will be two letters for a buck! :(

it is refreshing to hear of medical people giving you Scriptures. Beginning to think no one in the medical profession knew God...only that they were 'god' in their own minds. Praying God will help you through the grieving process and protect you from depression...one of satan's minions. Use the Word against the depression - resist the devil and he will flee from you. In Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you, Pete, and I do lean upon and trust in Jesus and satan has to flee when speaking the Word of God against him! He only has the power God gives him and we can overcome him through God's greater power!

The dr I go to has beautiful scenic pictures in the waiting room with Bible Scriptues and all those working for him and the drs who help with his patients are very nice, considerate and compassionate! They had been working with and had known Cliff since he first came up here and started going to the dr after getting Medicare Complete Insurance to help pay the medical bills! The Pulmanary dr and the office people really liked Cliff too! Dr. Nelson and they said he was a really nice man and were so sorry of his passing away! But none of us will live forever in these old weak bodies made of clay and we will either be in new Jersualem City with Jesus or in the depths of fire tormented and tortured for unbelief of not accepting Him as God's only begotten Son born of a virgin, Who lived in man's flesh, died and rose again alive and well! No man cometh to God, our Heavenly Father, but through Him....the One and Only Savior of a lost and sinful world! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Hello MaBetty, God bless you my friend and watch over you in these coming weeks, months, and years. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength. He will not let you down. Look to Him for physical, emotional, and spiritual strength and He will provide your every need. Let go and let God.

In His Love,
SeniorSeeker

Ma--we continue to pray for you. You are an inspiration to Joan and I. You have faced many struggles lately, but your faith in Jesus always pulls you through. God bless you.

Thamk you SS and you are my friend too! Your comforting words are helping to lift me above the shadows of hurt and the sorrow of losing Cliff! ! I wouldn't be where I am now and I couldn't have helped Cliff without Jesus within me and him! I have gone through so many trials all my life, but each time I had to go through them Jesus was there and is there and as I endured and overcame each one I grew stronger in faith and in the joy of the Lord! The worst I had to get through was the death of my parents in the same year and then my ex leaving me and telling lies which caused me to be alone but this was when I truly found Jesus and studied the Bible Scriiptures diligently! I forget easily though so I do err at times until I go back and study again on certain subjects! There will always be trials because of satan and a sinful world but with Jesus, Who has overcome the world, we willl too! We have the victory in Jesus! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Thank you DK for your kind words and for your prayers! I keep thanking Jesus for all the trials I've faced because He has helped me get through each one with greater faith in Him! Now, I didn't like going through the hardest ones which hurt me to the core of my being, but I did get through and am still alive, so I have much to thank and praise God for, as I would be dead without His love, mercy and grace! That 2X4 between the eyes to get my attention during the years of unhappiness and the divorce sure didn't feel good but He has my attention now and I trust and love Him more and more each day! God Bless! Betty

Thank you, Mike chgo area and I am trying to and getting into doing the Lord's work more now since Cliff isn't here any more! Sure do miss him though! Hope you are well and doing okay and prayers for safe traveling! God Bless! Betty
