Did you :poke: happen to compare the JE mode to the BP mode any.

On one of the small cuff button targets, I remember the JE mode seeming to sound slightly better than DE. So, then it was closer to sounding/ID'ing alot like BP....the only thing I keep noticing is that BP you can pick the coil up off the ground a couple inches higher & still hit the small buttons. I wanted to do a short video, & since it was being said that DE was exactly like the old F75, I decided to compare DE vs. BP as a start.....
I took Friday off to detect, and want to get into the woods where the soils alot different to look for mode differences, and surely will test JE & "Cashe" too & .report back. If I see any distinct differences I'll try to whip out the video camera again.
The soil was wierd in that cornfield & that may have had some effect on mode effectiveness? The ground balance # was only 62, where it's usually around 80 in my area (& the woods). As I increased the disc, I increased the false signals. Even with disc as high as 19, you still get "pops & clicks" of iron much like a 1266x in "Boost"......
So, there's lots more testing to be done. I stand by my statement that the new microprocessor truely makes it sound like a whole new detector. Going to take some time to figure out the best way to run it at my sites....

Bill
