Hi guys, on Black Friday we typically do a family fishing trip but this year we had to make a change of plans so we decided we would do a little detecting. There were 3 of us with 705's that hunt pretty regularly and Hotrod53 and our Mom loaned our two brother in laws their old Tesoros.
We went to an old section of a local park where they used to have a swimming hole back in the 30's & 40's. We had been there once before and I found a 1939 Merc and Hotrod53 found a sliver Washington quarter from the 40's. Shortly after that it started to rain pretty hard so we left.
Today I walked back to the area where I found the merc and about 20 yards away from that I found a 1945 Merc. About 15 yards from that I found a 1946 wheat and a 1959 Roosevelt just inches apart. Another 10 feet away was a 1939 Merc. I set my detector down and walked over to where everyone else was detecting and told them that I had a hot spot and everyone should come see what else we could find. Unfortunately other than finding another wheat that was all we came up with in the "hot spot". One of my brother in laws found a couple of coins so we were excited for him. My other brother in law wasn't so lucky. He found an old WV hubcap.
I was happy to find 3 silvers in a day. I've done that once before but this was only my second time having a trifecta.
