It came out of the woods at full speed. A spirit rider on a ghostly steed.
With dashing and daring and nostrils a flaring, a highwayman figure indeed!

In the dead hours of the night, imagination takes flight, long ago wraiths do their riding. Whilst living sleep, kudzu creep in the shadows of mysterys hiding.
And though it was a moonless night, and the wind was absent as well, thoughts turn to an old time poem and the challenge to memory tell....

"The wind was a torrent of darkness amongst the gusty trees, the moon, a ghostly galleon, tossed upon cloudy seas".

The rest brings chills to the living spine, a tale of love and loss. Of battles waged and treasure sought 'neath historys ancient moss.
It makes one stop and wonder, and gain a grip on their poise,
when ghosts are running asunder, without ever making....A. Noyes.
