For me posting here...
I met up with him after work today and he was kind enough to lend me his Garrett 500 while my machines are in being repaired. Had a lot of fun using the green machine as its the first time i've used one with a display and its a pretty neat machine i must say.
Anyhow, it was a real change from my usual Tesoro (if i can use that word here) and several of the features (like the pinpoint) I really like.
Got a few dollars in clad and a horse charm.

Thanks again John! It was a blast and the 500 is definitely teaching me to reconsider what features i like in a detector.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you enjoyed using a Garrett. I've used Tesoros for years myself, almost since Jack Gifford opened his doors for business twenty some years ago. But the Garretts will spoil you, especially the upper end models.
