Even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and then. Found this 14k 24" 23gram gold necklace today by an old picnic ground.About 2" deep found with 8"excelerator and mxt. VDI-14 Been a while since I found anything decent. Sure like the 8" excelerator. This was in a trashy site.

I bet that brought a smile to your face, I know it would have on mine. WTG that is a really nice find!

Outstanding!!!! The chain looks to be in great shape.

Gold always brings a smile.

Hello again Nocanfind,

I have a question about your VDI reading when you found the necklace. Was the reading a minus 14 or a plus 14? I swing an MXT too, and don't want to ignore a good gold necklace signal.

Just for info, I recently found a medium size but thick 14k ring. The VDI for it jumped between +43 and +45.

Again, congratulations on your gold necklace find.

Thanks Nocanfind,

I have had my MXT for less than 3 months. The thing that I have learned about the MXT is that I have a lot more to learn. It is a great detector.

Have great hunts,
