Bob's Spring Hunt?

BlackX

New member
Just got back from a week in PA (oldest coin find was a '39 LC) but logged in looking for posts on the spring hunt and can't find any. Am I blind?

Are you referring to NH Bob? If so, the hunt was Saturday. I thought it was a great time although not too many finds. Few large cents, buttons etc. Best find was a 2 reale (1773):clapping: A beauty.

Did find alot of friends however:beers:...Bob puts on a great hunt, over the top and can't wait til the next one

There was a Hibernia half penny in addition to the 2 reale. We compared finds at lunchtime but people kind of just drifted away in the afternoon since it was so hot for us yankees, the first day in the 90's. So I don't think there was a good report about finds in the afternoon.

I didn't have that much luck hunting - just a couple of keepers and nothing to shout home about, but I did win the drawing for the X-Terra 705 and 2 extra coils to go with it so I made out very well anyway.

I also had a great time meeting so many folks who I had only talked to on internet forums before But I sure got my butt kicked by the sun - I think a drank a half gallon of soft drinks and water after I got home :stretcher: and that was after drinking 2 quarts at the hunt.

Anyway it was a great time.

Hope I can make it next year.... :detecting:
