Set up all day to talk at the local Civil War days put on for the 8th graders here where my daughter goes to school. I brought most of my CW relics to share and show to the kids and told how I find them by detecting. They had a cannon there and muskets the kids could shoot, also a CW doctors tent where they fixed kids up, as well as other stations. We had 200 kids there.

My daughter Shelby and I at the CW days. She got extra credit for dressing in CW garb.

Two years ago when Kody was in 8th grade. The teacher asked me yesterday, Since I don't have any kids going in 8th grade for a while if I could still come and do it again. I said sure!
