Bottle ID Request

JodyRebel

New member
While detecting, I found the base of an old bottle with M.C.Co with the lower case o being higher and a line under it. I found it in and around where a confederate post was located in Texas. I believe it to be a bitters bottle and hope someone can verify the manufacturer existing during the civil war era. I appreciate any help you can supply. Thanks, JodyReb...

I found this on glassbottlemarks.com:

McC………………..William McCully and Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1841-c.1909)

McC & CO……………William McCully and Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1841-c.1909)

I hope that helps!
