I have two detector made by Bounty Huners both have the same control heads one is camo dx and the other is sold by Cabela's but I think it's the same unit. I have had both for 4 years but can't fine any think on them. Doses anyone have one and has anyone find anything good with them My two son are going to use them on the beach.( are there water proof coils?)

Does either machine look like these 2? You have a Quicksilver/pioneer EX/Camo DX. All the same unit. The coils are waterproof, just don't get the head wet.

If you do a search here on Findmall for the Pioneer Ex you should find plenty of info. Dave J. is rather fond of it as his first new detector design after joining the BH team as engineer. But I agree it's hard to find some good comparative info online when you just do a search for Camo DX.
I have one here and have found it to be a fast-responding detector that was easy to operate and accurate in ID. There's enough info in its response to a target to make a good guess whether to dig or not. It's light and well-balanced in use. It's ready to go hunting with one touch of the power button. All I did to set it up was max out the sensitivity. Object ID was very stable for the most part, especially on coins. The stock 7" coil has a nice, tight pattern that is easy to find the center for pinpointing. Depth with this smaller coil is decent and actually compared well with my older Time Ranger and its 8" coil in the iron-enriched soil we have here.
In operation of the Pioneer Ex units and their "cousins" like the Camo DX and Quicksilver, nothing could be simpler. Most coins kept a good ID and high audio tone right out to maximum depth. Increasing sensitivity did add at least an inch to the maximum depth a quarter would detect and I noticed no falsing. By setting it to minimum depth along with raising the coil over a target while sweeping it, the signal was narrowed to assist with pinpointing and determining object size. The Pioneer Ex seems to have hit a happy balance between detection depth and good target ID with a simple user interface to boot.

Good score! You're way ahead already. I have so much invested in detecting and prospecting equipment it ain't even funny. Made some interesting finds, but I think I'm still working on paying off the first tank of gas we burned driving the mining trails, lol!
