Bounty Hunter coils and more

I have the Discovery 3300. It seems to be becomng a popular detector lately. I got mine about a month ago for $95 including tax at pawn shop
.
I've been shopping on line for the 4' and 10' coils. I'm a pretty serious shopper for a guy, (LOL). You can get both coils for about $75 including shipping at several sites,
At http://www.boatersworld.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchView?storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&keyword=bounty+hunter you can both coils the nylon carry bag and pouch and digger kit for $103 with free shipping. I wasn't thinking about the pouch but when you spend $100 you get free shipping. That makes the net cost of the pouch and digging tools $11. So, what the hech may as well get it.

At kellyco the2 coils alone are $129 plus $10 shipping.

Hope this info helps some of you.

I should be a better shopper. I just bought the two coils seperately, and have a little over $100 in the two, with no pouch or other goodies. Sometimes I guess I just get caught up in evilbay auctions!

I have both of those coils and I bought them through Amazon.com. I paid around $75.00 for both and was able to catch free shipping too! I just ordered the 11" DD coil this morning and can't wait to try it out for relic hunting!

It is the 11" DD coil for the Fisher F4. I was told it would work with Bounty Hunter machines but was not sure, so here is the email that I sent Bounty Hunter.

"I have a couple of Bounty Hunter machines that I love. You have answered questions for me in the past including one on this subject. I have the 4", 8" and 10" coils for my machines and was wondering about a larger coil. I stumbled across a website that shows an 11" DD coil that is a replacement for the Fisher F4. They state that this coil is also compatible with Bounty Hunter metal detectors. Is this correct?"

Here is their reply.

"...The F4 coil is indeed compatible with the Bounty Hunter models."

It's nice to know that there is one more coil option for Bounty Hunter machines.

That's funny! I am in hopes that it will be a relic killer. I really don't expect much, if any more depth but I am wanting the wider scan field per sweep. I'm just wondering how sensitive it will be on smaller items.

Great to hear that the DD is available. I have a 10" and have not used it much due to the areas I hunt (trashy). Really look forward to hearing how it works and pinpoints, as well as how in-sync it is with you target id, depth etc.

Please keep us posted.
