Bounty Hunter DE 280

 Has anyone on here ever owned one of the Bounty Hunter DE 280 metal detectors? I have one on the way and would like to know your thoughts on it. Thanks.:detecting::bounty:

...Good depth for a VLF/TR....does yours have the green light which glows when a target is detected?...really good for twilight or night hunting. You need to learn how to do Reverse Discrimination so you can use the TR with VLF depth.

:cool:Yes, mine has the green light which is a great feature. I bought this thing used and the meter was broken. I have a new meter coming. I did air tests on this unit and was really surprised at the depth and stability of the threshold. It acts like it has auto retune but it has a retune button so I don't think it is auto. This unit might have been designed by Jack Gifford (Tesoro Electronics) but I'm not sure. If anyone knows please let me know. My air tests show 8 " on a quarter and about 6-7 inches for all the rest. A silver dollar will go 9-10 inches. Not bad.:detecting::bounty:
