Bounty Hunter Land ranger Pro Pin Point Issue

The PP function will not lock on when the PP switch is pressed. Intermittently it will indicate PP, d, t and then depth. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks, Bill

the ETP has this issue as well. They should replace the pinpoin button under warranty.

I've found that button (as well as the others) to be somewhat cheezy to begin with. Thought about getting some of those clear stick on pads that act as cabinet door bumpers to try and see if it makes it easier to use.

I've tried those pads they didn't help. I think I have a weak contact on the PP button. The actuation seems different than the other buttons, not as positive. I am going to contact First Texas and see if I need to send the unit in for repair or replacement. H H. Bill

Thanks for the information. I wish that the PP switch was a push on push off type of function or had a toggle switch on the shaft. H.H. Bill

I decided to send my L.R.P. in for warranty repair. I'll report back on the service and if the problem was fixed. Thanks to all who replied, Bill

Pin Point repair update. My unit arrived at First Texas on 8/3 I received it back today on 8/10. Very fast service. The problem turned out to be a defective membrane switch. I've tested the Pin Point and other functions and everything works properly. Thanks Bounty Hunter for your great service. Bill
