g'day fellas.
im thinking about to purchacing a BHT4. it seems to be the best value, entry model detector out there. actually im going to buy 2. one for my younger brother, he's 28.
my main interest is coins, jewlery and an occaisional sojourn for gold. the thing is, i dont mind paying a little extra, if it will make a BIG difference. my questions are...
how much does one have to spend on a unit, to make a bigger difference to the performance of the BHT4?
will the extra $ be worth it?
will i, as a novice, appreciate the difference?
thanks!

. So my advice to you is to really do some research into what type of detector thats going to suit your needs and not the brand. There are so many good machines out there on the market and you have come to a great forum to help you out. I'm sure whichever way you decide to go your gonna have a blast with this hobby! I know this didnt answer your question about the BHT4 but just keep your eyes and mind open.
