Found this nice little brass object at an antique store recently. I just liked the looks of it. Initially I thought it might be for holding rolls of stamps, but although a roll does fit in the well it does not seem like that is the intended application. Then I thought maybe it is an inkwell. Anyone have any ideas or know what it might actually be? Thanks for the help.
