Congrats on the gold pendant.
When you're hooked, you tend to ignore the temp. I went out on the first of the year
for a full day hunt and it was 98 here. As I hunted on after my water ran out and there were no taps around, I paid the price for the next 2 weeks. I set a personal best hunt though.

That is too hot for me too hunt anymore. last year, I was around 200 coins from 10,000 lifetime coins and headed up into the mountains where I hoped it would be cooler. I detected for almost 6 hours that day and I did not fully recover for days. Keep yourself hydrated and take breaks.
These days, I go out for a few hours in the very early morning when temps are expected to go much higher than 85 or 90. Then if it cools down maybe for an hour before sunset. Night hunts are intersting too but in the summer it can be very buggy..
That was a great hunt. Love the religios medal. I find quite a few but all in silver so far. Never gold....yet!
