Even though there were these strange white floating particles in the air when I left this morning I knew I had dressed warm enough to keep me out for quite awhile.
The first park I hit looked like they had just put down some new bark on top of the old. I was wrong. It was new bark alright but apparently they scooped up all the old bark (and the coins and trash and whatever else was hidden there) and removed it all. I found only 1 metal item - about a foot long, black paint with a small wheel - this thing resembled one of the sliding tracks on my computer keyboard shelf. That was it and no old bark beneath the new.
Gave up on that site and moved on to another. I came to this nice park.

As you see in the background this park is pretty much surrounded by apartment complexes - which means - Anybody? Anybody? Yep, lots of kids to play and lose stuff.
Though maybe hard to see there is the playground, tennis courts and beyond that are basketball courts. Across the street is the baseball field.

I was glad to see this sign on the playground - it means less trash for us to have to dig up.

They had this cool looking sundial but since the sun wasn't out I didn't know what time it was (luckily I wear a watch eh <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> )

You know me by now. There is usually something I find that stands out above the other items I find. This time was no exception. Only a couple very small scratches otherwise they are like brand new. I guess I can't say they were an eyeball find since I hit them with the coil before I even noticed them on the ground.

Again another example of God meeting my needs as the clip on sunglasses that fit over my regular glasses broke. I have a very nice pair of sunglasses now. Thank you Father.
Here's today's haul:
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/Finds050305.jpg"></p></center>
The two 'coins' on the bottom right are two tokens - both from Celebration Cinema. Also 2 keys - one house key and a car key.
Total haul came to $2.50 (1 quarter, 4 nickels, 35 pennies and an unusual number (17) of dimes compared to the others coins found.
Too bad this 'star' ring was broken beyond use or looking at (pitched it after the picture)

Well I can say I had a good day. Thank you Father God. Hope you all were able to get out today as well.
Maybe next time I will check around these to see what fell out while people were sitting (or falling off) of 'em.
