to Washington. They had the lead till they threw it away, then rain. Now postponed. Will they ever make it back to the World Series?........ I love baseball too!

Love to watch my boys play! We do hit a minor game now and then!

is the NBA - we watch a game every night. Go Spurs !!Steve in so az

I will NEVER buy a ticket to a game; the strike got to me too.
I did get some freebies year before last. Right behind home plate about 6 rows from the screen. Those tickets go for over $60 EACH! Can you believe that? $240 for 4 tickets??? Then they absolutely rip you off at the concession stand. Even a 20 oz. bottle of water is something around 4 bucks. They probably pay about a quarter for it... It was a hot August day so after drinking 2 of these things I tried to find a water fountain. When I was a kid they were all over the place. I had to walk a mile to get to the only one they had and it was disconnected. What a surprise. I almost took my pocket screwdriver out and opened the front panel to turn it on. (I don't think I'd look good in handcuffs )
Had season tickets in '86 back when ticket prices were not through the roof. Got to see every Playoff and World Series Game and saw the ball go through Buckner's legs Great year but basball is just not the same anymore. Too much money in salaries for players who aren't even that good. A guy gets a hang nail and he's out for a couple of days. The ballplayers when I was growing up knew how to play ball.
The high ticket prices etc, make it almost impossible for a guy to take his family out to a game. It used to be a family thing.

many years ago. I do like to watch the NBA like Steve, but that sport has change to a streetball league, where carrying the ball, traveling and whining are encouraged. Go StL Cardinals!!!

Busch Stadium in down town St. Louis and are paying for it with tax payer money! You couldn't pay me to go to the games and watch them with their disgusting habits!
My daughter likes the SL Cardinals more than my son, who does go if he can get to go with someone else who has free tickets! My daughter makes very good money, plus her husband works, so she can afford to go and spend the money on concessions!
I think it is terrible when you cannot take your family to enjoy the games once in awhile because of the high prices of everything which includes gas to get there, now!
God Bless!
Betty

They will make the playoffs , And maybe the World Series. They always have good teams and also seem to be close to getting there for all these years
