Brian, Doug and family needs ours prayers

Another helicopter flight...

...last night around 12am Brian woke Carol and I up because he suctioned some blood from his trach. After we watched him clear his trach he then expelled another alarming amount of blood from his mouth and off to Children's I went.

They flew him by Life Flight this morning at 8am. His blood levels were low but didn't require a transfusion. The next blood test at Vandy showed the levels at two points lower than in Knoxville.

Everyone (the doctors) are baffled about the cause of the blood loss. They want to watch Brian for a few days hoping that if he bleeds again that he will do it here so they can see where it's coming from. They are pretty confident that it is from behind his nose where the tumors are putting pressure on some blood vessels.

This morning three members of the plastic surgery team came by as well as a cranial-facial specialist, an optomotrist, an ENT, two gastro-intestinal specialists and a witch doctor. They are going to team up if possible and try to perform several procedures at the same time if one of them elects to do surgery.

With the exception of a few 10-20 minute naps Carol, Brian and I haven't had any sleep since midnight last night. I did catch a few winks on the drive over here to Nashville which made Carol furious since I was the one driving.

We are really getting frustrated.

It's time I hit the sack. I know you guys are praying for us we really appreciate you!

...Brian's doctor came in this morning and his blood count fell to 20 over night but he said it could be due to the IV fluids thinning out his already low blood supply. They are going to do another transfusion today to see if his counts stablize. If they go down again then it will be obvious that there is blood loss. His doctor said he is totally at a loss about what to do because they have never seen anything like this.

Prayer for Brian: Dear Lord, Please be merciful and help the drs and surgeons finds out where the blood loss is coming from and by the healing virture of Jesus, please touch Brian from the top of his head to the souls of his feet and heal this young man whole and make him well, completely in Your will and we know that it is not Your will that any should suffer innocently and have to bear such hurt and pain while along with him Doug, Carol, Sarah and all loved ones suffer in sorrow and grief for him! Now God, I know there is nothing impossible for You to do and that all things are possible; therefore, I plead for Brian's and his family's case and ask You to move quickly and miracuosly on his and their behalf! Whatever You do for Brian will be met with praise and glory for Jesus and we will still love you and know Your ways are the best for our good and for Your purpose!

Thank You, so much God, Jesus and Holy Spirit for Your moving upon Brian for a miracle healing and/or healing through the drs by Your love and guiding hand with peace and comfort for each of them! Brian is Yours, so right now he is completely in Your loving care and the drs and hospitals! For we know You love and care for Your own and You are in control! Blessed be Your holy name, Jesus!
