Sleepless nights...
Posted 13 hours ago
...Brian and I were up most of the night. He was in too much pain to sleep and I was keeping him company. He stayed awake all day though, so hopefully tonight he'll get to sleep a little earlier.
I talked to dad this evening and he said he was up most of the night too. He said the pain is much more noticable at night preventing him from getting comfortable. He has scheduled his stress test for next week.
We got Brian out of the house today. Home is his comfort zone and he fears a problem may arise while we are away from the house. We had to take the puppy to the vet late this afternoon and pick up one of Brians prescriptions and get it filled. He really seemed to enjoy getting out and even gave Carol a high five when we got home. If it doesn't snow Friday and Saturday (and it won't) I hope to take him to buy some new books.
It was a short but enjoyable time for all until we got to the pharmacy to have the prescription filled. Carol handed me Jackson (the puppy) and the blanket he was sitting on, to hold until she got back. Jackson promptly emptied his stomach on my lap. He missed the four foot by four foot blanket. He didn't miss my jeans. It wasn't until I felt a warm sensation on my leg that I discovered what had happened. And that is when my stomach decided to try and empty itself. Fortunately, I hadn't eaten in awhile. We no longer have a puppy!! Of course I'm kidding, the little guy is just too darned cute to get rid of. And, it gave Brian a chuckle!! Carol got a certain amount of amusement from it too. A little too much if you ask me.
Brian is paging me so I guess I better get off of here. It must be time to go watch Rambo 17 or Jaws 8 or something!
Thanks for your prayers!!
