Brian was ecstatic, it was finally here...the season premier of Lost!
His best friend Garrett came over to watch the show with Brian and Carol's best friend Amy came over to watch it with her.
Tuesdays won't get here fast enough now!
Brian had a great day with his teacher yesterday and she told me he was smiling more than usual and playing his tricks on her. She said he pointed behind her so she turned to look and when she looked back at Brian he was pretending to be sleeping.
She said he was doing great in math and went on to explain what they were working on. I said, excuse me, but could you please speak in English!
She just turned to Brian and said, I see you are going to have to teach your dad a few things. He just shook his head sadly as if to say there wasn't any hope. He's right too!
A few prayer requests:
A co-worker of Carol's: He is battling liver cancer.
Billy: He will go through two weeks of chemo and then go to Vanderbilt for close to 100 days of treatment for a rare spinal cancer.
Tammy: The wife of a childhood friend is having colon cancer surgery this afternoon at 1pm.
Samual: A 3 year old who is battling cancer.
A co-worker of mine: She is having cancer surgery today also.
I know we all have an extensive list of folks to pray for but please, if you could, include these in your prayers today too.
Thanks and God bless,
Doug, Carol and Brian
