Straight A's
Posted 2 days ago
Yep, he must be a chip off his mom's block because I never got straight A's. Heck, I'm not sure I ever got an A. As a matter of fact, my parents would have been thrilled if I came home with straight C's.
The last couple of days Brian's pain levels have increased in his face. Every day it gets harder and harder to understand what he is saying. It is frustrating to him...and us...when we have to ask him to slow down or repeat what he said. Yesterday he asked us if we could schedule a surgery so that he could talk better.
In the last update I stated that Brian's right leg was better. I meant his left. He says it is now hurting closer to the ankle but he still tries to ride the excercise bike, with a little prodding, about 5-10 minutes a day.
He doesn't need any prodding to play his PS3 though. He has really enjoyed his gifts from The Dream Connection. When he isn't watching Lost on TV he's watching it on his laptop. The laptop will be a real blessing during his next hospital stay. I wonder if they'll let us bring his new bed too!!
We have been blessed in so many ways by so many wonderful, caring people that I sometimes feel as if I haven't, or can't, show my appreciation enough. When I have a quiet moment to think about all the Lord has blessed us with I'm overwhelmed.
Thank you. To all of you for all you have done for us. And thank you for your prayers!!
