Dad...mom, I always ask God to help me and then I realize He is but I have to help myself cause God ain't gonna heal me unless I try to help myself. And now I notice that and I realize that it's my job to get better and my job only and I'm sorry that I haven't been trying harder.

I know you guys are probably upset with me and now I understand. If I don't do it I'm dead and I wish I'd realized that earlier you guys. I hope you can forgive me. I love you guys and I'm trying but it's so hard and I wish God would just let me wake up one morning and be able to swallow and talk but He can't until I start trying on my own.

I love you guys for for helping me and trying to make me understand and for now on I'm gonna try as hard as I can, but if I say I can't, then you say I can. Please!! Thanks.

Oh my, Brian, how you are an sinspiration and a help to others....Ma has been ill and achy with pain, but I know not like you have! Even this ole lady might not hold up under such circumstances as you've had to bear! And, yet, with Jesus we can do all things! The hurting and aching I have in me ole bones and muscles must be nothing compared to yours!

I love you, Brain, and you do what you are able to do and then let God do the rest through our blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! You are a very brave young man and your parents love you very much but they do get tired, physically and emotionally, of not being able to help you more than they can, for they are human but have Jesus' love in their hearts the same as you! Don't give up and keep on, keepin' on for Jesus, for He will never leave nor forsake you and all His children who love Him from the depths of our hearts!

Wish I could be there to hug and encourage you, but since I cannot, I am praying for you to have angels surrounding you with protection and provision from pain and the ablility to eat your food like your family does! Dont want to ruffle anyones feathers here but I felt like I wanted to reply to this. God is not the one responsible for what is happening to Brian. The thief comes to steal kill and destroy. God has come so that we may have life and have it more ubundantely. So many people think they have to perform or do something to get God to heal them. They make it about what they can do and not what God has already done. All we have to do is to receive it by faith. It is a free gift provided by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I know that is hard believe but it is the truth. I do not know Brian but I do know that God loves him and wants him well. We always want to take our problem to God instead of take our God to the problem. We need to fight against sickness and disease. There is no sickness or disease that God can not heal or is not willing to heal.

I want to say a prayer for Brian.


In the name of Jesus Christ we pray for Brian. We rebuke this sickness and command it to leave his body. This is not the will of God and we resist this sickness. Healing belongs to Brain because of what Jesus has done. We speak to his body and say in the name of Jesus Christ be healed and all symptoms leave now in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus.

Hello Bill,

I want to thank you for praying for my son. You wrote..."We need to fight against sickness and disease." That is exactly what Brian is referring to in his note to us. His disease is unlike any known to man and was named after his case study at The National Institute of Health in 1999. He has been "fighting" this disease since the symptoms first appeared at 9 months of age. Brian is the strongest, bravest fighter I have ever known. God spoke our world into existence, so there is no doubt He can heal Brian if He so desires. Whatever the outcome, we are thankful that God has allowed us to use Brian's battle to glorify God and introduce Jesus Christ to those that don't know Him. If nothing else, maybe someones personal relationship with Christ may be strengthened.

So please, please continue to keep Brian in your prayers. All of the wonderful members of this forum have kept Brian and our family in their prayers for years and I can't tell you how much we feel it has blessed our lives. They definitely have touched our lives!!
