Brian's Battle - new update

Pete in MI

New member
Dad...

Posted 6 hours ago

...will you sleep with me tonight? I'm scared. This afternoon Carol called me at work to tell me that Brian had another bleeding incident. She said it wasn't a lot but Brian was obviously concerned about it. Tonight he had another bleeding episode. Our good friend, Amy, said the amount of blood was similar to when you lose a tooth.

I uploaded a new picture of Brian showing the tumor growth in his face. His nose is now angled a bit to the right and his whole face is puffy and swollen. We hope to hear from the plastic surgeon this week to schedule a surgery.

The air mattress is set up so I can sleep with Brian tonight. For some reason he won't let me sleep in his new bed!!

5:00am: Brian woke up with more minor bleeding... and vomiting.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Doug and Carol

My apologies Doug about not posting the picture. Wasn't sure which one it was and am having some troubles with my eyes this morning. Keeping you all in our prayers.

I'm still praying for Brian and here is my prayer for him, today!

Dear Lord, Please move with Your Holy Spirit upon Brian and heal him of the discomfort and bleeding that he is going through! You know, Lord Jesus, just what he needs to be healed from all that ails him and I know you are the Great Physician Who healtheth Your Children! May You touch Brian with Your healing virtue and help Him in feeling better, in the surgery and in healing quickly! We know all things are possible with You and we Thank You, right now, for answering our prayers for Brian and Praise You, Father God, for Your mercy and grace upon us everyone! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for the work you do within our bodies and spirits that we have healthier lives to serve You better more and more! We love You and give You the praise and glory in all things! We ask this in Jesus' precious holy name! Amen! God Bless! Betty

What a wonderful prayer!! Thank you very much Betty.

I sure wish I had your way with words...you write so beautifully!

God bless you,

Doug

Thank you, Doug, and remember it is not me but the working of the Holy Spirit of God within, Who leads us into all truth and gives us the words to pray and witness for Jesus, our Lord and Savior!

I finally wrote a poem about Jayden Rose, my new great-granddaughter (well a year ago..smile) and was wondering if you've read it and seen the pics! I am so sorry, I am so late, but just wasn't the right time nor the right poem, for I wrote some before, but was not what God wanted! This one really glorifies God and tells them how to be saved and the need to be saved! Prayers for all and keep the faith.....well, you tell Brian to let you sleep in his new bed one night! I guess he thinks you will like it too much and take it for yourself! :) God Bless! Betty

Hey Pete...no apology needed! I appreciate your diligence in keeping our CMD family up to date on Brian's battle. I posted this yesterday at the same time I replied to Betty's post from work and then our internet went out. It must have crashed right before I hit the post message button.

I hope your eyes are better today.

Thanks brother,

Doug

...I did read your wonderful poem and saw the pictures of Jayden...he is a handsome lad!!! You always glorify God in all your writings and it is always a blessing to read them.

Brian's new bed is extremely comfortable and he'll sleep until noon if we would let him. It has been a true blessing for him, God has blessed us in so many ways by so many people that I could write a book about them.

Thanks again Betty!!

Doug

Thank you Doug for your kind words about my poem and new great-grandchild, but he is a she! :) and a lovely girl for some handsome lad to marry someday if she lives long enough in this old world! Guess you were sorta busy and not thinking clearly when you wrote the post? So many times I am like that, actually too many times! Very happy for Brian and his new bed and, Yes, you all have been blessed and I pray God keeps on blessing and that Jesus heals Brian of all his illnesses! To God be the glory for geat things He has done and will do! Amen! God Bless! Betty

...I think I've lost my marbles!! I don't know why I thought she was a he!! So I need to make a correction...SHE is an absolute doll.

A co-worker kids me and tells me I have dementia....she may be right.

Now...to find my marbles.

 Well, while you are looking for your marbles, please look for mine, too, as I think I lost them long, long ago and they are probably antique by now! Don't worry about calling my great-granddaughter a he because we know she is a sweet, loveable SHE! She is going to have a brother or sister before long and maybe there will be a he for the family! I'm sure Joey would like that! A girl for Jessica and a boy for him!

When my dad was only 2 weeks old, grandma was sitting on a bench with him near the lake, and someone came along and asked if a he or a she and grandma said, No, he's not a she, she's a he! She told that story and laughed about it for years while I was growing up! I really loved my grandmother, as she was the only one I had! Mom's mother died in the 1918 flu pandemic when she was seven and Aunt Myrtle was five!

They grew up without a mother and dad, Uncle John and Aunt Grace grew up without a father, for he left them when they were small and they all had a hard time making a living back then even before the depression hit in the late 20's and early 30's! We all have it so much better than they did! Sooooo, I count my blessings one by one and Praise God and Thank Jesus for the many blessing I have and will have! God Bless! Betty
