Sleepless night.
Posted 7 hours ago
Brian had a tough time falling asleep mainly because his sleep cycle is out of sync. He finally fell asleep around 2am and slept most of the night.
His pain levels seem to be reduced somewhat but he is still lethargic due to the meds. The pain management team is continuing the process of converting Brian over to his home meds so that we can get the heck out of Dodge. They said we may be here a couple more days but we plan on leaving tomorrow if possible.
The physical therapist came in again today and worked on Brian's legs. She initially planned to come daily but Brian did so well she cut the visits back to twice a week. He was able to move from the bed to his wheelchair un-aided and she said that was very good. We have a list of excercises to work with him when we get home.
We are still waiting to hear about an optional blood therapy we may try that will help reduce the flow of blood to the tumors in his face.
We will try to update the Carepage as we find out additional info.
Thanks for your prayers and support!!
