Tough days...

...and nights. The last couple of nights we haven't gotten much sleep. The pain is never ending and he seems to need to suction his trach a lot more than usual. All night he would turn on the pump and then fall asleep with the suction tube in his hands, the pump still running. I would turn it off, go back to sleep only to be awakened again a few minutes later by the sound of the machine. He is so worn out he falls asleep while clearing his trach. I evidently fell asleep sometime during the night because Carol said she came in to turn the pump off and even I was sleeping through it.
Yesterday mom and dad came by to play cards with him and he only lasted a few hands before going back to bed. He wanted me to play cards last night and he only lasted through one hand.
I just heard him suctioning and the pump is still running. This looks like the way we'll spend our day.
The good news? No bleeding.
Thanks for keeping us in your prayers!
