...and I'm up with Brian for the third time. The poor guys stomach is making him miserable.Stool samples have been taken to determine what is wrong but we won't know until later this morning what they find.
It's been this way since Saturday afternoon! The nurse said that the antibiotics he is on are the strongest available and that is why he having so much trouble but they want to rule out other possible causes.
Brian's face is looking better but there still appears to be a lot of swelling. Under his left eye is still red too.
He really isn't in much pain now from the surgery. Just miserable from the lack of sleep because of the stomach issues and pain in his lower intestines.
Brian is ready to go back to bed. Maybe we can get a couple of hours of much needed sleep.

It is beginning to look that way.
So far this morning we have been visited by plastics, PT, pain management and child psychology. Add to that the nurse and care partner visits and you have a very busy morning.
They are also going to add a new med to his regiment and watch him overnight for any adverse reactions to it. In addition, pain management has increased his dose of baseline pain meds to help reduce his occasional spikes in pain.
Plastics just came by and drained the swelling under Brian
