Brian is resting...

...fairly good this evening. Carol will stay in ICU with him tonight...she won't leave him the first night after surgery. We were blessed to get a sleep room on the floor and I will sleep there until around 5 am or so. The sleep rooms are amazing, they have a twin bed, nightstand, TV and a shower! Ah yes...a shower!!
I didn't realize until this evening that they also removed tumor from Brians left nostril! The poor guy has an incision under each eye, in his nose, and his upper gum! He has tubes and wires and probes everywhere.
Everyone here have bent over backward to make our stay and Brians recovery as comfortable as possible. They put him on a pain pump so that he can administer small amounts of meds every 10 minutes. The machine beeps every time he pushes the button and you can set the international time by the beeps and be within several milliseconds of the best of the atomic clocks!
Thank you very much for all of your prayers. God has seen us through another major surgery. We know we aren't out of the woods yet, but we feel very confident that Brian will fully recover.
