He's Critical
Posted 30 minutes ago
Today has been an up and down day. His breathing has been very shallow and his heart rate has stayed steady most of the day. We have had to suction more today because of the sepsis causing infection. The nurse and Doug scooted him up in the bed and raised the head of the bed a bit and we haven't had to suction as much. This evening Brians tempurature is up to 100.6 and she just checked his heart rate and it was over 190 so she gave him some meds and it has lowered to 164. The nurse says he is stable right now. We are at the point now that someone who knows how to suction needs to be around 24 hours. Doug layed down earlier to get some rest so he and I can take the night shift. This will allow Carol to get some much needed sleep. I just wanted to keep everyone updated since Doug was resting.
Thank you for your prayers and support
