Thanks guys, for all the kind words. After I cleaned the SLQ I'd grade it somewhere around XF , based on the detail, but the entire coin has a sandblasted look to it. I found this in a field, at the site of a very old tavern which is now just rubbled stone foundations so I'm guessing it's fertilizer damage. Good thing it was a Philly mint.

I showed the LC to a friend who found a 1794 many years ago. We headed out to another spot and I found an 1845 LC. It's been a very good day. I hope I haven't started out on the top of the hill.

All I can say is WOW! Man, those are some great coins......and 1700's......priceless.
