Broken 11 inch coil

Headed out this morning to do a little hunting with my almost new xp. Maybe 3 hours run time so far. I noticed I wasn't hearing much in the bottle cap infested area I was passing through so I stopped to investigate and to my horror I found 2 cracks in the coil.. one on the outer edge and one running close the shaft conection. I don't know how I have done this but do see a ding along the edge. What to do. Can they be repaired? Or replacing the only option . I don't expect a waranty covered replacement is in my future. I need therapy now.:cry:
 
That's terrible--especially at the cost of those coils.----Is the Deus still under the transferable warranty?-----The Deus warranty is 5 yrs.---I don't know how long the coil warranty is.-----I would contact XP and see if they would replace that coil.-----Sorry to hear about this & I hope this response is of some small help to you.----------Del
 
Thanks Del. I bought the detector brand new in late November from one of our reputable forum dealers. I guess all I can do now is ask to see what can done.
 
I think Deus warranty includes rod,,remote and headphone module,and coil.
Not batteries,,and lost hardware,,and maybe abuse.

But I would give them a call,,can't hurt.
 
Did you use the top hat spacer on the coil bolt when you put it together.
 
Yes sir. Conection ears or tabs are not the areas that cracked. Main body cracks. Ps. Watch and enjoy all your videos
 
Coil is out the door and off for repair or replacement. I'll keep you posted to the outcome and experience

Well folks I'm back in business. I rcvd my reconditioned coil at no charge yesterday. I'm so thankful for this outcome. it could have been a lot worse 500.00 worst.
I do have additional questions but will start another thread since it does not pertain to this thread. 60 degrees this weekend cant wait. PS: if you like watching videos you can find me at Detect Indiana on youtube
