Broken F-75...is it worth fixing

Hi,

I've got a chance to buy a 6 year old F-75 that has a broken upper shaft....it also has some lost depth issues after the shaft broke...not sure if it's related?
seller is asking $225.00...is it worth spending the money.
Not sure what it would cost to have it sent to Fisher and have it repaired....Whats your thought.

Thanks

I'd be asking how the shaft was broken. A broken shaft wouldn't affect depth, but the kind of hit it would take to break a shaft could easily mess up the internal electronics........

Sounds like it took a good hit............. Call Felix ask what shaft and check up would cost for the electronics..

If it's a couple hundred dollars..No it would be maxing out what a 6 year old F75 is worth....... with the unit cost plus repairs..

Sounds like someone got a little upset and wrapped it around the nearest tree? :)
