Might still get in the water a couple more times, but I hit an old farm today after work for just a short hunt. We finally got enough rain to moisten the ground! Got a neat Tootsie Toy Fire Truck, a play money five cent coin. an old suspender buckle and another old buckle, and the best find was the old US lock. The first pic it is dark, but the close up is better!

Lettering looks about the same.

Congrats on the finds. Warm weather is slowing slipping away from us...leaves are starting to change up near the Bridge.

My lock looks the same on both sides. However I am sure that they were made by the same company. Not sure what that pointy thing was used for on your though?

buy a dry suit to keep you nice an warm :D . Great find Mike

I got neoprene waders! I aint done yet! :)

Neat digs - that lock might have some collector's value. We had a "slight" snowfall onthe mountain here last weekend, 9,600 ft high. steve in so az

I cant get a date on it. I posted, and got no response. :(
I think late 1800's or early 1900's? But would like to narrow it down.

Congrats on relic hunting and the old US Lock! Yes, I think you will get some more water hunting in before winter sets in for sure, but according to the Farmer's Almanac it is supposed to be a very cold one.....sooo make sure you have the fuel for heating and it will probably be costly! The Arabs don't want the price of oil to drop so they are cutting the supply! I hope God takes care of us and I pray we all will be okay the whole wintertime! The diligent prayers of the faithful saints availeth much!

God Bless!
Betty
