Bryce's settings in Andy's book * Correction

The error where his Max Limit was printed as 7, and should read "10" is on page 115 on the top half of the page where all if the settings listed. In case you got one of the books with the error in it, this is where the error is so you can fix it.

Thanks I ordered the book about a week ago and should be getting it soon. Seems this has already been covered though on the post above.

Andy has already at least on mine and subsequent others made the change physically with a pen.

The correction was on the MAX LIMIT value being "7" vs "10" which is Bryce's preferred setting . . . in reality, it is a matter of personal preference and easy enough to adjust in the field if needed.

But the books that had not been sent out prior to that time were all corrected since

I am not sure but anyone that has an Explorer for a while sets the limits to 10.....In my eyes the more the better.....but it's the threshold tone setting that may be the critical adjustment.....along with the variability setting....all 3 will contribute to the over all sound of every target....including the head phones you use.....hearing abilitys of each individual will vary....thats where the clash sometimes comes into play....best thing to do if just getting a new explorer is to sit down and air test till you get the best seperation of all coins by adjusting all 3 settings....when you can tell the diff. from all coins is what you want. It takes awhile but is worth it when out in the field.

I dig it all anyways but when I hear silver it gets my heart pumping and I get excited.....and when I get tired and am sick of zinc pennies...I can walk on by them....single tone detectors take a back seat when you get tired of digging, also an Explorer not set up right to your ears can be a pain in the back and other body parts.....
