Buckle ID??

Years ago it was mistakenly posted in a relic guide as a Confederate bedrole buckle but before it could be changed the relic community had already accepted the identification before it could be changed. After much research and information the powers that be id'ed it correctly as a decrative buckle cover for horse furniture. (bridals and tack) They come in various sizes and were used clear into the early 1900s. Hope that helps
