Bullet depth?

Just curious whats the deepest some of you have dug .58,.54 cal minie balls with the f75se and also did it give a good TID number or just good audio? Just curious

I dug several this winter while woods hunting at depths of 3" to 8" or a bit more. And, this was often with the coil a few inches off the ground swinging over a thick layer of leaves and brush. TID was very good with a little bounce of numbers on some of the deeper ones. Audio was loud and clear. HH jim tn

I've dug 3 ringers, both 58 and 54 cal., down to 11 or so inches with good ID bouncing in the 50's in decent ground. Enfields and 69cal. round balls for some reason will read in the 60's and sometimes up to 80 in the same ground. I believe the deepest that I have actually measured was a 69 round ball at 13 inches. I hunt in northwest Ga. with settings of all metal, bp, sens 90. I've also dug deep 13 readings in bad ground that turned out to be a fired minie ball.
